In Ruthless Gods, Malachiasz struggles quite a bit with the literal god he's become, Nadya and the others travel to the forbidden forest of the gods in order to stave off the Old God, Chyrnog, Nadya accidentally awoke in Tranavia along with Malachiasz who they need to open the way to the forest because of his divinity. Nadya, manipulated by her own goddess, destroys Blood Magic, eliminating Travania's source of power and weakening them immensely. Out of revenge and a desire to free Nadya from the yoke of the gods, Malachiasz kills Marzenya, Nadya's patron goddess. Chyrnog manipulates Serefin into stabbing Malachiasz with a relic blade capable of killing a god in order to offer the chaos deity an deal he can't refuse. Malachiasz is so hungry for power, though, that he doesn't take that much convincing to be resurrected as Chyrnog's vessel.
Blessed Monsters sees the Gods of the Pantheon using the godtouched Nadya to help free a resurrected Malachiasz from the clutches of Chyrnog before he's able to devour the world and everything, god and mortal alike, in it. In the course of this quest, Nadya learns that she has to find Malachiasz soul and return it to him, cut Chyrnog from his spirit and being, and return his soul to him. After a triumphant defeat of the world devouring entity which left both of them with missing pieces both figuratively and literally (Malachiasz is missing the lower part of his left leg below the knee for example), they returned to Tranavia, with Nadya hoping to foster peace between their nations, and Malachiasz returning to his Vultures and helping his brother, the king, to bring together the dwindling threads of magic in their kingdom and hopefully to return some of its former glory.
Powers and Abilities: Malachiasz used to be a gifted bloodmage, until blood magic was eliminated from their world (thanks, Nadya), but he still possesses a prodigious talent for magic. He as altered as a young boy into a Vulture, a cultish assassin who can grow iron nails for teeth and iron claws.
He performed a ritual on himself that turned him into a chaos god, which in this setting would give him access to chaos magic, but not the world-altering magic he was capable of in his universe. I would have him limited to effecting local probabilities, altering matter in objects, and causing madness in people around him that's temporary. He can also sprout black feathered wings.
Aside from powers, he's also a skilled strategist, highly intelligent, and an accomplished artist.
